For Organisations

Are you a first responder? Or, do you work closely with children, young people and families who have experienced trauma?

Danielle has worked extensively in the out-of-home care sector in NSW. Sometimes in these roles you can experience confronting scenarios and critical events. After work, events may play on your mind and you find yourself trying to unpack what you experienced. You may try to distract yourself, or soother yourself in ways that do not help you. Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an effective therapy to support you through these events.

EMDR therapy is an effective therapy to support staff who are first responders or who a part of a critical event, including staff who work closely with children, young people and families who have experienced trauma. By supporting staff to access EMDR therapy, this can reduce workers compensation claims.
